Using Sportsplit

Terms of service

These terms explain the rules that apply when you create an account, organise or join a match, use social features, or purchase Sportsplit Premium.

Last updated 9 August 2026

By creating an account or using Sportsplit, you agree to these terms, our privacy policy, and our community guidelines. Sportsplit is for adults aged 18 or over.

Who provides Sportsplit

Sportsplit is developed and operated by Bera Icli in the United Kingdom. Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@sportsplit.co.uk.

Eligibility and your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into an agreement to use Sportsplit.
  • Provide accurate account and profile information and keep it reasonably up to date.
  • Keep your sign-in details secure. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been misused.
  • You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless it resulted from our failure to protect it.
  • Do not create an account for someone else, impersonate another person, or transfer your account.

The service

Sportsplit helps adults find players, organise matches, communicate, record scores, and track shared court costs. It does not operate venues, referee matches, guarantee another user's identity or conduct, or process payments between players.

Features may depend on your device, permissions, location, connectivity, store, or third-party services. We may improve, replace, suspend, or remove features when reasonably needed to operate, secure, or update the service.

Your content and conduct

You keep ownership of content you submit. You give Sportsplit a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and share that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service, including showing it to users who participate in the relevant profile, match, group, or chat. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except where copies reasonably remain in shared records, backups, or safety and legal records.

You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit content. You must not:

  • harass, threaten, exploit, discriminate against, deceive, or impersonate another person;
  • post illegal, hateful, sexually exploitative, or privacy-invasive content;
  • spam, scam, manipulate matches or scores, misuse fee records, or advertise without permission;
  • attempt to bypass security, scrape the service, disrupt it, or access another person's account or data; or
  • use Sportsplit in a way that breaches our community guidelines or applicable law.

Matches, meetups, and shared costs

Real-world sport carries risks. Decide for yourself whether a match, venue, participant, and playing conditions are suitable; use appropriate equipment; follow venue rules; and do not play when it would be unsafe for you. Consider meeting new players in a public, staffed venue and tell someone where you are going.

Match organisers and players are responsible for bookings, attendance, cancellations, scores, and any shared costs they record. Sportsplit's fee tools are informational and do not collect, hold, or transfer money.

Premium subscriptions

  • Premium subscriptions are purchased and billed through Apple App Store or Google Play.
  • The price, billing period, introductory offer, taxes, and renewal terms shown by the store before confirmation apply to your purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel through your store account before renewal.
  • The store handles payment methods, billing issues, cancellations, and refunds under its rules and applicable law.
  • Deleting Sportsplit does not cancel a subscription. Manage it in the store account used to buy it.

Your Apple or Google store terms also apply to purchases made through that store.

Moderation and enforcement

We may review reports and take proportionate action, including limiting content or features, removing content, warning users, suspending or closing accounts, preserving relevant records, or referring matters to appropriate authorities where required. We may act without advance notice when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, or secure the service.

You can use in-app report and block tools or contact us. See our child safety standards for concerns involving anyone under 18.

Intellectual property

Sportsplit's app, site, branding, software, and original content are protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of Sportsplit to you.

Availability and responsibility

We aim to keep Sportsplit available and accurate, but do not promise uninterrupted access or that all user-submitted, venue, weather, or third-party information will be complete or correct. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

To the extent permitted by law, Sportsplit is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these terms, for business losses arising from personal use, or for the independent acts of other users, venues, stores, or third-party services.

Ending use and deleting an account

You may stop using Sportsplit or delete your account in the app. We may suspend or end access if you materially or repeatedly breach these terms, create a safety or security risk, or if required by law. Shared match, chat, transaction, moderation, and safety records may be retained or de-identified as described in the privacy policy.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised terms with a new date and provide additional notice when appropriate. If you do not agree to a material update, you should stop using Sportsplit and may delete your account.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you may also benefit from mandatory protections and courts in your home country.
